
Basic module
The Basic Module of EBSILON®Professional is a highly specialised software solution for modelling thermodynamic processes. It enables engineers to accurately model a wide variety of thermodynamic cycles, including steam power plants, combined heat and power (CHP) plants, gas turbines, heat pumps and refrigeration cycles. A key focus of the software is to accurately assess the efficiency and part-load behaviour of these plants.
The main purpose of the programme is to create simulation models for new power plant projects and to model existing plants. For existing plants, this is particularly valuable for ensuring continuous performance monitoring, such as the monitoring of output and efficiency, and for thermodynamically validating planned retrofit measures. The Basic Module is designed to efficiently solve real-world plant problems, rather than wasting valuable time with unstable software, impractical user interfaces or unreliable convergence.
The software offers complete flexibility: parameters can be adjusted in a matter of seconds without having to laboriously search the code for the relevant lines. As a result, EBSILON®Professional is not merely a calculation tool, but also offers a unique opportunity to centrally store and continuously expand technical knowledge of the respective plant system.
